SOULO is a mindfulness tool and community for solo walkers, created as part of my first final-year project at the University of the Arts London (UAL). It combines creative prompts, nature exploration, and personal reflection into a unique experience. At its core, SOULO consists of a physical card deck with prompts tailored to different environments—forests, mountains, cities, and coastal areas—encouraging users to deepen their connection to their surroundings and themselves. These prompts are further supported by a companion app that enhances the experience, allowing users to generate card numbers, log reflections, track their journeys, and connect with other solo adventurers.
More than just a product, SOULO is a philosophy inspired by the psychological and physical benefits of solo hiking and the transformative power of mindfulness in nature. It aims to inspire users to slow down, observe the world with curiosity, and find clarity and creativity in solitude. This project reflects my passion for design and my dedication to creating tools that support individual growth while building a sense of community.
In the ever-evolving landscape of our society, the imperative of nurturing intergenerational relationships cannot be overstated. The interwoven fabric of our community relies heavily on the bonds formed across generations, yet these connections often encounter challenges. At the confluence of compassion and community, I present a distinctive service designed to bridge the generational gap, offer respite for social carers, and foster connections that transcend age boundaries.
MUNCH is a groundbreaking innovative service that functions as a matchmaking platform, pairing elderly adults with dedicated volunteers eager to extend a helping hand and share a meal. MUNCH provides caregivers with well-deserved breaks while simultaneously offering companionship and support to those under their care.
I end this year with as wide a tear as the smile slapped onto my face. With relief comes shoulders that drop and eye strain I handn’t noticed until after I allowed myself to rest.
Comfort was tested this time
Comfort was literal.
Comfort was metaphorical.
Comfort was removed from inside of me and spilled onto blank A3 sheets.
The tumultuous noise that kept roaring at me and begged me to take a seat while I kept getting up in attempt to follow the steps to the dance I have done many times since starting my studies, was actually a sound inside me keeping me safe.
“Sit down!” it yelled.
I kept on dancing, dancing, dancing, until I fell and did not know how to get back up again.
In the summer of 2023, I interned at EVAREA, a luxury swim & resort wear fashion brand in London, UK. Part of my role as an intern was to create social media content for their website and instagram page followed by over 75,000 followers. On this page, you can find the work I had produced for the company.
Additionally, I worked on the management of the backends of their shopify, order fulfillment, copywriting, graphic design, and more.
